Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu embraces the spirit of thanksgiving with its ”Syukuri Ramadan Bersama LMKK”, an All You Can Eat Sungkai buffet featuring healthy and savoury dishes at the hotel’s restaurant, Latest Recipe.

According to the Acting General Manager of Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu Mr. Suresh Ramasamy, the concept behind “Syukuri Ramadan Bersama LMKK” was inspired by the nation’s medical frontliners who helped the country move forward since the emergence of the pandemic. “We’d like to thank our frontliners and the sacrifices they made that led our nation into recovery in the last 2 years. This Ramadan marks a season of thanksgiving, and we would like to celebrate with our guests, including the frontliners and their families, by treating them to our special Sungkai spread, prepared in a clean and safe manner”, he said.

The All You Can Eat Sungkai buffet will feature unique offerings such as “Kambing Bakar Kukus Berempah”, “Gulai Lemak Cili Padi Daging Salai”, “Ayam Percik Golek” Shawarma, Mala Szechuan Cuisine, and even a Smoke Barbeque House.

Also included in the menu are the classic Ramadan favourites including Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu’s Signature Gearbox, Kawah Brothers specials, a Dessert wonderland filled with treats such as Station ABC Besar, Apam Balik, Jagung Bakar, and many more.

Rassam Soup

“As health plays an important part in our daily lives, we also want to prepare healthy dishes with ingredients that would benefit our guests’ wellbeing,” said Mr. Suresh. 

Among the healthy dishes that will be served includes the “Rassam” soup which is packed with nutrients that can combat cough and cold with the presence of curry leaves, tamarind extract, turmeric powder, red pepper and mustard seeds. Meanwhile, the “Singgang Tongkol” (turmeric) is an essential ingredient containing 90% of one’s daily requirements of vitamins and minerals. For protein-rich food, the Coconut-Ginger Chickpea Soup is filled with chickpeas, lentils, and coconut milk while the Quinoa Granola Bar isladen with natural and organic ingredients. To achieve a stronger immune system, try the Pomelo, Coconut and Vegetable Salad/Dudlu huli, coconut salad as it also sharpens the taste buds and comes with various health benefits.

“We welcome everyone to celebrate this year’s Ramadan by being thankful for our blessings and to continuously look after our health, especially during this time.” Mr. Suresh also added that the hotel will fully comply with the local government’s SOPs and the Marriott International Commitment to Clean guidelines".

The hotel also offers Early Bird Voucher at RM128nett per adult (pre purchased before the month of Ramadan). Other eligible discounts will apply.
