Weekend Seafood Buffet at Urban Kitchen, Hilton Kota Kinabalu

Famous for being one of the states in Malaysia with the best and freshest produce from the sea, Urban Kitchen, the all-day dining outlet in Hilton Kota Kinabalu introduces Weekend Seafood Buffet, a Friday and Saturday-only feast for seafood lovers.


Accented by fishing nets as décor and servers dressed up as fishermen, the themed buffet is also an ode to one of the most prolific professions and industries in the country.


Available from the month of August onwards for only RM145 nett per adult and RM73 nett per child (aged 6-12), indulging in this buffet is the perfect opportunity for quality time with family and friends over food. The sumptuous spread features up to ten picks comprising of mud crabs, prawns, clams, squids, whole fishes, and many more; all of which are grilled to order. The varied and delicious selection are cooked with delectable Asian sauces and dips, while staying true to the local palate.




Complementing the richness of the ocean’s offerings are dishes such as a myriad of Italian antipasti; hearty soups such as Seafood Chowder, Seafood Bouillabaisse, Szechuan Soup with freshly homemade bread rolls & lavosh; meat cuts like Lamb Leg Roulade with mint sauce; curried delights like Bengal fish curry, Chicken Chettinad, Dhal Tadka, Chicken Masala, and more; a live seafood omelette station; sweet temptations such as sweet cherry frangipani tart, Sabah tea Panna Cotta, coconut Crème Brûlée, coffee tenom ice cream, and many more.




Located on the same level as the lobby, Urban Kitchen is open daily from 6:30am until 10:30am for breakfast, and 12:00pm to 2:30pm for à la carte lunch. Buffet dinner is available from 6:30pm till 10:30pm at RM118 nett per adult from Sunday until Thursday and RM145 nett per adult on Fridays and Saturdays.

A special 25% discount is available for Hilton Dining members and a 20% discount for selected credit and debit cardholders.

Resepi Kari Ketam Simple

Assalamualaikum. Lama tidak kongsi resepi walaupun kmia tidak lah berapa campen mo masak. Hehe

Kali ni kmia kongsi resepi simple tapi sedap dan sebenarnya pertama kali kmia masak sendiri 😜 selalu tunggu mak yang masakkan saja. 
Ni kira resepi campak-campak dan untuk mereka yang amatur dalam bidang masak-masak ja. Walaupun bahan-bahan simple tapi tetap mendapat pujian dari hubby dan anak-anak 🤭

Bahan-Bahan
Ketam saiz sederhana (5 ekor)
1 kotak santan (yang kecil tu je)
Bawang Merah dihiris
Bawang Putih dihiris
Halia dihiris
Serbuk Kari Ikan (kmia guna jenama Babas)
Sedikit cili giling (bagi dia pedas-pedas sikit)
Asam jawa (kmia guna pes asam jawa Adabi)
Daun Kari (tapi hari tu kmia masak tak ada simpan sebab tak sempat beli 😅)
Tomato
Bendi
Garam dan Gula (secukup rasa)
Minyak untuk menumis

Cara Masak
First2 memanglah ko kena siang ketam tu dulu. Dan pengakuan jujur 😂 ni pertama kali kmia siang ketam ..  hahaha sadisnya. Sebab first time maka gigihlah cari cara siang ketam di Youtube 🤭.
Panaskan minyak, tumis bawang merah, bawang putih, halia dan daun kari hingga naik bau. Kemudian masukkan serbuk kari yang sudah dibancuh dengan sedikit air dan juga masukkan cili giling. Tumis hingga pecah minyak. Lepas tu masukkan ketam, pes asam jawa, sedikit air dan santan. Kacau sekejap, tutup dan tunggu sampai mendidih. Agak-agak ketam tu dah nak masak, masukkan tomato, bendi, garam dan gula. Kalau santan agak pekat korang tambah air ikut citarasa korang. Dan siap! Simple ja. 

Ni hidangan untuk 4 orang tau. Kalau ramai kira ko kena doublekanlah semua bahan-bahan tadi. Selamat mencuba!

A three-week delicious Thai gastronomic experience with Chef Mama Duu!



Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu hosted its first Amazing Thai Food Fiesta with Guest Chef Mama Duu, the Head of Thai Kitchen at JW Marriot Khao Lak Resorts & Spa in Phuket Thailand. The 3-week gastronomic affair offers the best authentic flavours of Thailand at the all day dining venue - Latest Recipe, Lobby Level.



In partnership with AirAsia, Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu have especially invited Chef Mama Duu of JW Marriott Khao Lak, Phuket Thailand to showcase the authentic Thai flavours from the vibrant Thailand through her exquisite culinary skills and gastronomic creations.

Jasvir San-Ghera or fondly know as Mama Duu is a seasoned Thai Cuisine expert with 31 years of delicious experience in international hotels including Shangri-la Hotel Bangkok, Intercontinental Hotel Singapore, Sofitel Centara Grand Bangkok, Plaza Atheene Bangkok A Royal Meridien, Novotel Bangkok, and Bangkok Marriot as well as JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa where she currently heads the Thai Kitchen.

Chef Mama Duu is also no stranger to cooking shows - she was the guest chef at the luxury Escapes programme Australian TV Channel 10, Khun Toi Kitchen on Thai TV3 channel, Chef Nic TV Show, The Six O'clock Show and Amarin TV. She was also one of the judges for iron Chef Thailand.

The 3-gastronomic affair features a selection of a la carte - Monday to Wednesday from 12pm to 10pm, Thai Dinner Buffet - Thursday to Sunday (except on 10th & 17th August) from 6.30pm to 10pm at RM148nett (normal price) and RM128nett (prepaid voucher), One Night in Bangkok, a delicious Thai Street Food experience at RM118nett (normal price) and RM90nett (early bird) on 10th & 17th August from 6.30pm to 10pm and learn how to cook like a Thai with Chef Mama Duu in her Masterclass at RM118nett (normal price) and RM90nett (early bird) on 14th & 21st August from 11am to 3pm inclusive of lunch. Children under 4 years of age eats for free, while children aged from 5 to 12 years old enjoy a 50% off.
