12th Dec 2022 | LeMeridien Kota Kinabalu officially kick-started the festive season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the hotel lobby with hotel guests and associates witnessing the special occasion.
The ceremony started with a choir performance by seventh-day adventist church (Likas) youth choir group and culminated in the lighting of the tree by the hotel's General Manager, Mr.Suresh Ramasamy and it's owner's representative, Ms Keyna Fung.
The 11ft tall Christmas tree which prominently stand in the hotel's main lobby is made from upcycled planks with empty glass bottles decorated by the hotel's associates bedeck the tree as ornaments, among other enhancements including the Christmas Wish Project Card wish lists by the residents of Bukit Harapan Charity Home - Home for the special needs people.
As part of the hotel's annual CSR campaign, the Christmas Wish Project encourages guests and associates to select wishes that are listed on the cards and purchase the item as gifts for recipients before handing it over to the front desk for compilation and delivery.
Throughout this festive season, the hotel will having festive-themed F&B offerings which includes buffet dinner dining on Christmas Day and New Year's eve at Latest Recipe, takeaway, set dining at Favola and end of year countdown party at Rooftop @ LeMeridien.
